National Postdoctoral Association Article about FOR

An article about the Future of Research Symposium has been published by the National Postdoctoral Association (NPA) in their newsletter: see pages 7 and 12 of the POSTDOCket for the article, and a discussion about the actions postdocs are taking in the discussion. The NPA is holding its annual conference in March in Baltimore: see link here for registration (there are also travel grants available).  There will be a poster presentation about the Future of Research at the conference so be sure to come along and see us if you’re there....

Poster on future of Research now available

A poster featuring some of the preliminary outcomes from the drafting of the White Paper on the Future of Research was presented at the joint out in STEM (oSTEM) and National Organisation of Gay and Lesbian Scientists and Technical Professionals (NOGLSTP) conference, Out to Innovate 2014 held at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA, 7-9 November 2014. The poster was recipient of the 2014 Poster prize for Leadership and was very well attended.  The poster is now available here on F1000 Posters. Also, you may notice the poster was printed on fabric – it was made following the instructions from Jessica Polka‘s excellent ASCB blog post How to Print a Fabric Poster and only cost $25 (2 days rush shipping was an extra $25).  Also, no need to iron on arrival.  The resolution on the final printed poster was only 150 dpi and it looked excellent....
